Which statement best describes you? I am comfortable making my genome sequence data publicly available without prior review.
Severe disease or rare genetic trait Yes
Do you have a severe genetic disease or rare genetic trait? If so, you can add a description for your public profile. My 11-year-old son was just diagnosed with scoliosis, becoming the third generation diagnosed with spinal malformation. My son also has periodic low HDL in blood draws. While researching causes of kyphosis to prep for my son's fall 2012 orthopedic evaluation, I discovered Marfans Syndrome, Ehlers-Danlos and other genetic connective disorders for the first time. Since early childhood, I could bend my thumbs and hand far back, pop both my knee caps in & out of joint, and I could wrap my legs into a lotus position and then lift my crossed legs to touch my chest, multiple times like a seated situp. My father's 1995 severe mitral valve prolapse echocardiogram with enlarged aortic stem, his (and my) history of early arthritis detected in the spine, his very low body weight (143 - 150 lbs almost all of his adult life (until it went lower in his 60s) despite being 6'4" with long slender limbs & fingers, and a family history among uncles of hip dysplasia, multiple hiatal and inguinal hernias and chronic pain all made sense related to a connective tissue disorder: either Marfans or EDS. My geneticist visit is not until Spring 2013 at Johns Hopkins Hospital, but my Aug/Sep 2012 opthamologist, cardiology, radiology tests are all showing signs of connective tissue disorder of some kind, more like Ehlers-Danlos in my case (I.e. no aortic stem enlargement on my own 2012 echogram and only mitral valve degeneration, not full prolapse-- my father was 66 when his first echo was done and he died before a followup was done.). Most of the men on my father's side of the family tend to die months ahead of or after turning 67, despite different levels of healthful behavior, levels of medical care, etc. going back to the 1920s, as though parts have "worn out" at that age.

1.1 — Blood Type O +
1.2 — Height 6'1"
1.3 — Weight 203
1.4 — Comments From 1992--1998 I typically weighed between 192 and 195 lbs. Since then, my heaviest-ever recorded weight was 215, and my weight can dip back below 200, even now
2.1 — Left Eye (Photograph Number) (full-size image: https://goo.gl/XQ2Voh) 14
2.2 — Right Eye (Photograph Number) (full-size image: https://goo.gl/XQ2Voh) 15
2.3 — Left Eye Color - Text Description Overall brown, with thin blue ring at outer i
2.4 — Right Eye Color - Text Description Same overall brown color as left eye
2.5 —Comments Had blue eyes until age six or seven, shown in pictures from childhood. Significant myopia began developing at 12. Choroid nevus diagnosed in mid-30's of brown spot on back of my right eye. Father had presbyopia when I was born, mother myopic with her self-described "coke-bottle glasses." Radial keratotomy at 24 improved both eyes' vision substantially but astigmatisms in both eyes and eye-strain headaches from uneven vision and computer time had me back in mild corrective lenses by age 28 when I had been glasses free for those 4 years
3.1 — What is your natural hair color currently, when without artificial color or dye? brown
3.2 — Hair Color - Text Description Brown w/ smattering of mostly-white, some gray, at temples
3.3 — Comments Dirty-blonde hair color in early childhood that darkened to a light brown, gradually, between ages 9-12. Alopecia on males from mother's side of family, w/ maternal uncle having receding hairline at 28. Father's side has thick, coarse-haired males. My hair receded somewhat in late 30s, but not tracking to balding
4.1 — Any final thoughts? On height, my mother was somewhat tall, 5'7"; my father's side of the family has most children over 6'3" with a very few 5'8" stocky males with more body hair. Your survey avoided morphic body builds: ectomorph, mesomorph, etc. Males with my surname tend to have long slender limbs and builds w/ low muscle mass. I have a thicker neck & broader shoulders than that norm, but, otherwise, fit right in to an ectomorphic build of my father & most uncles
1.4 — Handedness Right
