Do you have a severe genetic disease or rare genetic trait? If so, you can add a description for your public profile. I have hypothyroidism which a maternal uncle also had, my parents both had goiters. My mother had a baby before me DOB 6/13/54 which died just a few days after birth from erythroblastoma - she was a 'blue baby' at a time when there was no treatment for Rh incompatible babies. From what I've read each subsequent pregnancy the risk increases for this condition, yet I was born healthy (& this was before they developed treatments which now essentially eliminate such fatal events). However, between the ages of 25-30 I was besieged by a number of health issues beginning w/psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, fibromyalgia then hypothyroidism & have always wondered if the Rh factor incompatibiity somehow made me more vulnerable to these chronic health issues at a relatively young age. More recently I was diagnosed w/osteoporosis & neuropathy. Though my mother had neuropathy hers was related to type 2 diabetes (1 of her bros. also had type 2 diabetes) however I'm regularly tested for this & so far have been negative. And though my mother, her mother & myself have all been small boned, I'm not aware that they had osteoarthritis. Note: when my parents died I had specimens frozen in case their DNA could be useful in the future in relationship to my own health.
